I bought 2TB Seagate Expansion
Portable External HDD last year, it worked fine, until last August, when i was copying a file into the drive, i forgot to 'safely remove & eject'...

Then after i connected it to my TV usb port, the blue light went off & hdd was frozen...

Please note that the HDD was full at that moment.

Now, the drive is shown as 1.82TB unallocated space on disk manager. It cannot be initialized to GPT or MBR by giving CRC redundancy check error....

I tried Easeus, Minitool, Hdd regenerator, even tried chkdsk to check for bad sector repairs but no luck....

Also the drive spins up, one click sound during cable connection...

ANY HELP/SUGGUESTIONS will be appreciated?

Solution
I would contact Seagate about an RMA if its a new drive. That doesn't sound promising. Hope you had backups.

you don't want to hear clicking noises from hdd
