Question Seagate Hardrive

Hi.
I was attacked the other night by a adware programme called Cloudnet or something, anyway in my panic I started copying photos onto my seagate.
during the process, Seagate had a heart attack and stopped. It wouldn't allow me to eject , so I just pulled it out........I know.
Now I cannot shutdown my mac as its saying theres something running in the background.
Also there is a message saying "Copying 3,192 items to Seagate plus drive" which I cannot remove.
Help............

Press and hold the power button on the machine until it turns off then turn it back on.

Or plug the Seagate back in and see if it does anything.
