hello , my psu is bad , i agree to it . the first time the computer was built from then this hdd was powered by molex to 2 sata molded connector extension till today , its been working ok with no problems , i got a new power supply -again a bad one same as old one -a generic local product - its sata crimpped connector doenst fit well or not able to give enough power to drive . but the molded power sata cable starts and runs the drive well .
now after reading crazy things in internet about molex fires - i am scared to hell ,i am freaking out , yes i know i need to buy a new psu wtih good sata connectors hopefully it works , but just asking crimped connector is not able to power the drive well but molded ones powers good ..
is it just the crimped connector is bad ?
also i got a laptop drive which i connected to crimped sata connector -the drive started to click , but when i tried various adjustments to fix the yellow 12v line better , the drive is working well now . the crimped sata power cable --looks shaky when i move the wires .. is it supposed to be like that ?
anyone have come across these loose sata power cable .how to deal with them ..
i was having idea to buy y splitter sata power cable to add one more drive -they dont come in crimped , they all come in molded at my place - i am scared to get them .
please input some ideas , suggestions, thank you.
