Ever since I built my pc, this noise coming from the hard drive wouldn't stop at all (It's not a constant noise might I add). Before you say anything about it failing, I've been using this for months by now and it hasn't run into any problems, it's perfectly fine on that part. Usually, that noise intensifies to a "nails grinding against a chalkboard" for a few seconds and happens rarely. I just need to get this problem out of the way for sanity reasons.

Hey there, Yudhbir Singh!

I'd advise you to check up on its health and SMART status using the HDD manufacturer's brand-specific diagnostic tool. You should also check if the drive is mounted properly inside your rig. Unfortunately, grinding noises indicate physical damage on the hardware, which is something that might not get detected by the diagnostic utilities and you also won't be able to fix.
I'd strongly recommend you to backup your data immediately since you have the chance to do so and then check the warranty on the drive. If it's still under warranty, you should definitely contact the manufacturer's customer support and send an RMA request. They should be able to provide you with a replacement.

Hope this helps you. Best of...
Its kinda like that car you hear driving down the road making a horrid noise. Something is wrong and sooner or later it is going to go WAY wrong!!!! Replace it before you lose all your data.

I have a WD Caviar Black that has been loud since the first day I got it, always makes that ugly scratching noise when on load. Haven't failed in 3 years. Although your sound is different for what you describe it, i had an old hdd that made that noise after i dropped it by accident, it died eventually. RMA if you can.

Alright, but how long does it usually take until it gives out? Right now I can't replace it, but I can save all my data. Also, please recommend me a perfect 2TB HDD that won't make awful noises, I've been having trouble finding any that has a price under $120.

(Edited, I noticed it was a tad bit misleading)

After reading some reviews it appears that the WD black has a MAJOR noise issue! On a normal drive sometimes you can hear the platter spin up, sometimes a click-click, even an occasional chattering (as when defraging the drive) ---all very hard to hear outside a case. At your price range your options are limited. If you can stand the performance hit I would try a WD green or a good rated Toshiba but 2TB for <$120 puts you into that range where you are going to have to make comprises on speed, reliability ,capacity or price.
