Hi guys! I have a 1TB Seagate HDD that I think makes an abnormal noise...Nothing too extreme but it's like a constant noise that I can't exactly describe but if I put my ear near the place that the HDD is stored it's getting louder...I don't know if it's normal or not. Should I be worried?

If the noise has come about unexpectedly during normal computing hours then it's possible that the HDD is failing. How old is it? Are you under warranty period? If so it's a good idea to back up your critical files onto a removable storage device.

Hello Lutfij thanks for the quick reply! I have most data in a USB except games because nowadays pc games take a lot of space. That's the only reason I don't want the HDD to fail...because I don't want to have to download them again. The HDD is 2 years old and is not making a grinding or humming sound that most people say... I would describe it as spinning but I don't know if that sound is normal... I have run CrystalDisk but no problems were detected. Maybe it's normal to hear a slight spinning noise? It may be coming from a fan but I don't think so since it's getting louder near the HDD

Oh ok I understand .... CrystalDiskInfo though works and says that my HDD health is good no bad or damaged sectors ( HDtune shows the same thing). Maybe that sound is a normal thing or coming from a fan ? I don't know this thing is happening for at least a month but nothing bad has happened even in long gaming periods

I also run SeaTools...No errors found in 4 different tests. I read that this Seagate HDD is vibrating and making a lot of noise compared to others...Then again I don't know if that sound is normal or not but I also don't know if it's indeed the HDD but it has to be
