Hi, which better from these: Seagate SkyHawk VS Seagate BarraCuda Pro?

I have bad feeling about Seagate BarraCuda Pro cuz there are a lot of bad reviews about it in Amazon (In terms of noisy), so I don't know which one I should go with.

Solution
I wouldn't go with either - - I've not had a reliable Seagate HDD yet.

I only buy WD HDDs now - - different story altogether - - I bought four of them 5 years ago (2 external, 2 internal) and they've been utterly reliable, still in use today.

Wouldn't buy another Seagate even if it was half price.

I'm also always go with WD (In 7 years, only one WD HDD has failed on me and it was Green), but I bought 2 X WD Gold recently and they both were making click noise (you can hear it), so I returned both of them (To Amazon). I'm trying to find good HDDs to buy now.

Seagate SkyHawk drives are optimized for surveillance use. Their firmware is ideal for situations in which the drive's operations will look something like: Writing 90% of the time, and reading the other 10%, such as you might see in a surveillance DVR. For this reason, they're not the best drives to use if you're looking for a more balanced read/write workload. The BarraCuda Pro would be a better fit in that case. Another drive which may be a fit is an IronWolf or IronWolf Pro. The IronWolf line has a lot of the same 24x7 ratings and workload ratings seen in the SkyHawk line, but is more optimized for NAS use which is a balanced read/write workload. The IronWolf Pro, like the BarraCuda Pro, is rated for 300TB per year and has a 5 year warranty.

Regardless of which drive you choose in the end, thank you for considering Seagate!
