I am at a loss of what to do. I have updated the firmware for the drive, tried different SATA ports, and etc. There is a lot of data on this drive, my entire digital life and all my work, and I desperately need to get the data off of it. I have a drive I can transfer everything to once I have access, but at this point I cannot even gain access to it.

Also also, if this has been handled already on the forums, I apologize. I searched the forums trying to find a solution, but didn't find anything that worked and was the exact situation that I am in.

Also also also, if you need more info, I'd be happy to provide whatever is needed!

Thank you so very much in advance!

If the drive used to be detected and it no longer works, then you definitely shouldn't try to format it if it contains important data that hasn't yet been backed up. If data recovery is important to you, then send it to Seagate and they'll recover it for you. I was lucky not to lose data with an identical drive that failed after 20 months.
