This 500gb drive in a Medion case has failed to get a drive letter in Win7 on HP Pavilion dv6 and manager says failed to initialise. I have seen the problem mentioned on sites but no solution. Hidden icons sees it for safe removal. Before I consider it dead, could it be related to a problem with my two Seagate 750GB Extension portable drives? These are commonly suddenly lost from sight during use, "lose" files (when I try to resave in Photoshop) which are still there and need shut down and re-start to keep going. I do not trust them. I cannot get to an answer on Seagate site. Can anyone help please?

Hi,

As you have said that you know that data is still present in the Seagate hard disk drive so you may use any third party recovery software to recover seagate sata drive which can be downloaded from web.
