Seagate surveillance vs Seagate barracuda hdd

St1000vx000
Can replace use of regular seagate hard drive st1000dm003? Or WD blue.
Buying used for either case. Seagate surveillance might get 2 years warranty n Seagate regular nothing.just checking warranty.
Warranty is second priority as my usage is first.

My use will have three partition .
200gb for windows c drive
300 GB for downloading uploading torrents, works , save documents , movies running watching n streaming
500gb is my backup with streaming n watchingmovies saved in this on n so on.
Maybe have gaming as well .

So in the end , is surveillance hard drive better or same or worse for these works.
Gaming, streaming movies pictures , torrent files , backup n accessing them whenever I need, office works, documents excels n Google drive transfer , movies download upload n watching them.
In 1080p n other format.

Surveillance one is made for durability and long uninterrupted running not for speed which disk for OS needs.
If you pair it with at least a cheapest 120GB SSD it would be much better.

So it wouldn't be better to use as main drive or as secondary drive for my downloading and watching movies,

As I found few who saw this as better than regular barracuda one.

Slower when reading and writing no matter what you are doing with it. Windows do a lot of reading and writing even when you are not intentionally using disks so it's important that they are installed on as fast drive as possible otherwise everything may feel sluggish. SSD has 1000 times faster access times and reads and writes smallish system files of about 4K in size (which windows has most) 10 to 100 times faster. That makes opening programs, starting Windows and using system files like page file, virtual memory etc. heck of faster than even fastest HDD.
Only drawback to SSD is it's GB/$ ratio that is falling all the time. Otherwise it beats HDDs up, down and sideways in any category.

So true on ssd, I hears sometimes ago that they might bring the prices down.

Or in the sense surveillance will be like 5200 rpm

Yeah, 5200 - 5400 Rpm, I have one of 750 GB by WD, had 2000 hours non stop work when I got it from a dead surveillance recorder and it's still 100% health couple of years now but because of speed kept for backups. Running a system of it is snail race.

Oh. Don't need just for backup need for everything until ssd is affordable for me.
Damn it was onto one in used n with warranty.
