how about the regular one with os and the green as storage?

is there a lot of price difference between the two? if no, then get the regular ones.
you wont like the performance of a "green disk".
and since its slow, it takes more time to complete a given task, it is active for longer time and hence takes overall more power.
so if you are thinking to contribute to the green earth, this wont be a good step.

"Green" edition is 5900 RPM drive compared to 7200 RPM for other one you have mention.
Performance wise there would be slight difference,

for storage i have the green once= less heat and noise i have 5 in bays

green ones use less power because they are slower. they spin at a lower 5200 rpm speed, compared to 7200 rpm standard speed.

theere would be a noticable speed difference between the two.
get the regular one, NOT the green one.
