Seagate wifi hard drive to samsung smart tv

Can I connect my seagate wifi hard drive to my samsung smart tv? I thought I could us the all share app on the tv but have had no success!

The newer Samsung SMART TVs will access HDDs that are NTFS formatted and are attached by a USB connection (but it is recommended that they have their own power supplies).

Not that I am aware of as of the latest Samsung models unless you use a small HTPC to interface.
