there's a good deal on newegg today (106usd/1tb) but not sure if it is a DRAMless SSD. Barracuda 120 ssd ZA1000CM10003. I try to avoid dramless ssd's and I cannot find the information anywhere. Including the official specsheet. Please advise.

The BarraCuda 120 uses the Phison S12, which has DRAM. The older/original BarraCuda (no "120") had the S10 which also had DRAM - the S12 is an updated version of that controller. Further, beyond your question, the 120 likely uses BiCS4/96L TLC versus the original's BiCS3/64L. It's a solid drive with these changes.
