search without sorting by sections?

Is there a way one can view the results of a search without having to look within various sub-sections? In other words, display search results on one screen independent of which section the hits are under. This is the way the board displayed the search results before the update.

Does my question make sense?

Yup, it perfectly makes sense !
But unfortunately this is not possible yet, although I'm thinking about implementing this as an optional feature in a next software release.
