Approximate Purchase Date: in the following five days because I'm about to go on vacation with my family.
Budget Range: around $100
System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, social media, watching shows, coding, Photoshop, school work
Parts to Upgrade: case to a mid tower one (and might need more fans for the new case; reason stated below)
Do you need to buy OS: no
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg, I guess. I don't usually upgrade my computer.
Overclocking: no
SLI or Crossfire: maybe
Additional Comments: since I'm about to move into a college dorm, a pretty quiet and inconspicuous case would fit best in that environment especially when I'm going to be on the computer for many hours each day. Don't want to disturb my room mate.
Of all the parts I have, these are the ones I think will affect the what case will be recommended.
Motherboard: GIGABYTE X79-UP4 Intel X79 Chipset Quad Channel DDR3 ATX Mainboard w/ Ultra Durable 5, 7.1 HD Audio, GbLAN, 4 Gen3 PCIe x16, 2 PCIe x1 & 1PCI
Cooling Fan: Asetek 510LC Liquid Cooling System 120MM Radiator & Fan
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 2GB 16X PCIe 3.0 Video Card
PSU: Rosewill HIVE Series HIVE-650 Continuous 650W@40°C Power Supply
Hard Drive: 2TB (2TBx1) SATA-III 6.0 Gb/s 64MB Cache 7200RPM HDD (Single Drive)
Optical Drive: LG 14X Internal Blu-ray Burner, BD-RE, DVD+RW, 3D Playback Combo Drive
Wireless Network Card: 802.11b/g/n 300Mbps PCI Wireless Adapter Network Card
In my case right now, I have 2 120mm and 3 200mm fans. I think the three big 200mm fans are supposed a part of the case, so I will keep them there. However the 120mm ones are detachable. Not an expert on case ventilation, but I think 2 small fans won't provide sufficient airflow inside of a mid tower case, so if there needs to be better cooling please suggest stuff. Thanks!
