Hi Guys,
I apologize if the question is a bit weird, but:

Lets say I'm looking for a graphic card (For Gaming), what do I need to look for in the specs to make a decision if its a good card?

I want to understand it better.

Thx ahead

Firstly what resolution will you be playing at? What games will you be playing? What settings are you aiming for?
Right now, the GTX 970 and R9 290/ R9 290X is good for ultra 1080p 60fps for most games. The GTX 960 and R9 280X is generally towards the ultra 1080p 30-40fps.
Of course there will be certain games where Nvidia gpus will be favoured and will outperform AMD side and vice versa.

So what resolution will you be using on that graphic card? Will you be gaming on it? if so what settings you prefer? What is your budget? That define what graphic card you should get.

First, look at amount, type and frequency of its memory. Then, memory bus (less than 256bit - bad/mediocre), GPU frequency and tech process (less nm's - better). Also, you can check the cooling system (can it effectively deal with overheating).

Right now, from the research i did last week. The best overall card for the money is the GTX 970
Now like everyone else has said though it does depend on what you want to do AND how much money you want to spend. Need alittle more info on what you are doing to help more for sure.

But 970 gtx is about the best bang for the buck, at least what MY research had showed
