searching for files in Windows 7

Hi,
When I used XP, I was able to find a file merely by typing the file name, or part of it, into the Search Box which one could get to via the Start button. About a year ago, I managed to find a method of automatically tagging all existing files to enable me to do this with Windows7. I had quite a lot of files on my HD and this "labelling" of existing files took about 30 minutes. However now, try as I may, I have not been able to find this method again. Can anyone help please?

Hi Dudio,

Thanks for the reply. I have had a look at your suggested website. I will try it, but I have to say there seem to be thousands of negative comments about the method from users who, almost all, compare it unfavourably with the simplicity of the method in XP.
