I want to build a PC that can put out 1080p and run most games (ie. Skyrim, Fallout, GTA, and other large games) for under $1000. This also includes case, wired mouse, and mechanical keyboard. Does not include monitor but suggestions are welcome. Please post builds.

30$ for Windows 10 from Kinguin.

I would advice you to go for the intel pentium G4560 if you are considering pentium processor

I think in your build you spend way to much on peripherals.You can loose the ssd and just go with the hdd to make room for the ones you chose though.
I guess that windows needs to come out of that budget too so included it. The windows 8.1 professional is $20 cheaper but has no support for DX12.
Mouse seems very clawgrip orientated ,not palmgrip so keep that in mind.

maybe some other options (or just use what you want),

@Vic 40
I think buying OS for full retail is very unnecessary. If you buy W10 from something like Kinguin you get 70$ more to spend on something else. I thought that since 70$ wasn't quiet enough to get more performance, he could fill out the budget with better peripherals. How much he spends on peripherals is obviously up to him, this is just an example.

The only real good thing here is the gtx 1070,i would rather have the other parts in my build (not that the i5 is bad,just is getting abit outdated with four threads). You do get your own choice of peripherals,but if you loose the ssd in my build could you get those too,you'll just have a system that is abit slower.

You really want a mouse without side buttons? You tried it,know it?

Well i don't know Kinguin,but from what i've come across here is that people don't always sell legit keys from there.

CPU: An i5-6600k is more than enough for heavy 1080p gaming and because it's unlocked you can overclock it with the Z170 for an extra 30-40% more preformance.
GPU: The GTX 1070 is sort of a sweet-spot card. It is considered the master in 1080p gaming and will last a long time in gaming because of it's 8GB of VRAM.
Mobo: The z170 motherboard has a lot of future expansion in it and has support for 2-way SLI if you decide to add a second 1070 down the road.
RAM: 8GB ram is enough to play 99% of today's triple-A titles and works great in editing say your gaming videos in 1080P alongside the 6600k.
HDD: Western Digital's Cavier Blues are ultra-reliable drives and are decently fast as well. 1TB is also more than enough for a medium-large steam library.

IMO This is one of the best sub-$1000 builds for both gaming and productivity. One thing I would like to mention is I would add another 8GB stick to increase the ram to 16GB once you can afford it. Then maybe 32GB if you want more workstation functionality and then a i7-6700k or 2nd 1070 in SLI.

The prices went up since I last made it. I did the ram like that so when he got enough money he could upgrade to 16 or 32GB.
