Planning on buying a new cpu. Probably a ryzen 5 3600. Only problem is that my curent motherboard is from a prebuilt computer and I cant seem to find any BIOS updates for it. So what motherboard should I get. I dont want any fancy and except for performance I dont care for extras. What motherboard should I get if I want to spend as little as possible while utilizing my 2666 memory rx 5700 xt graphics card and 16 gb ram...

I just did a cheapo build for a guy using an msi b450... i like most all brands, except cheapo ones.

lol, that was the exact mobo... nice unit that... very nice. i was impressed, his $500 pc plays battlefield great. he got a R3 3200G with a discrete AMD graphics card, can't remember, I made HIM install it while I guided him. I taught him how to hook everything up to the mobo, use the spacers etc.. (I checked all his work, made him do it so he learns) he did good.

I was impressed he did an excellent job dropping in the cpu and mounting the cpu cooler! got great temps at idle, around 33C-35C
