[SOLVED] Searching for video for msi monitor

I have a cyberpower gameing desktop,with three components, HDMi, DVI.,VGA...., now I have a MSI gameing monitor, with three components, HDMI ,DVI, DP. I hook up the hdmi cable to the desktop and the monitor nothing but a power light comes on the monitor,,,so just wondering which type of cable I need beside the hdmi ,,,,please help

If your Cyberpower has an add-in Graphics card then please make sure you are connecting to those. Many motherboards offer ports as well which may be deactived or not used at all (depends on the cpu).
