Seasonic 850 CPU Cable Question

So here is the cable that says TO~~>CPU on my Seasonic 850 X series. That one goes to what? to the ATX Power Connector that is located on my Asus Rampage IV extreme mobo? In the manual says the following:
#5: ATX Power Connectors (24-pin EATXPWR; 4-pin EATX12_V1; 8-pin EATX12V_2).

I do have and conected already the big 24 pin cable to my mobo.

I will be mounting the H100i..

Both the 24 pin connector and the 8/4 pin connector have to be plugged in. Some boards require an 8 pin connector some only a 4 pin connector. It will be by the CPU. The cable comes apart for boards that only need 4 pin connectors.

Edit: Ahh that board has an 8 pin and a 4 pin. You should connect both. Especially if overclocking.

yea on top of the board i see a 8 pin then next to it i see a 4 pin then to the right side behing the memory ram slots is the 24 pin.. so what you telling me is that I need to connect all of em>> the 4-pin the 8-pin and the 24 pin?

Yes i will be overclocking.

quick question, in my PSU there is this small cable that I don't know what it is for. please click this link from new egg and check the accesories picture and the cable that I am talking about is the small one that is on top of AC Power cord.

I think it's for a floppy. Does it have like 4 holes to plug into? If so it's for a floppy drive.

The other end might be standard molex. So molex to floppy. Maybe

yea four holes.

Now on this motherboard I have several sata cables ones are marked SATA 6GB which i think it goes to the SSD
BUT the mobo comes with cables that say "serial ATA" those are for what? HDD? and optical drive?

The cables that came with the board can be used on any SATA device. SSD, HDD, optical drive whatever, just use those cables as needed. I would imagine all the cables that came with the board are SATA 3 ( 6Gb/s ) capable.

Use the SATA 3 ports for your SSD. Hard drives, even though they may be listed as SATA 3 ( or 6Gb/s however it's written ) are not capable of using the full bandwidth of a SATA 2 ( 3Gb/s ) connection much less a SATA 3 connection. The drives are only SATA 3 capable because it's cheaper to build 1 common interface. A mechanical drive at 7200 or even 10,000 RPM just can't move that much data. So it really does not matter what ports you plug hard drives and optical drives into. It will not hurt to plug everything into the SATA 3 ports if you have that many though. All SATA is backwards and forwards compatible.
