[SOLVED] Seasonic focus gx550w gold or corsair cx650m bronze

Hi peeps, I' a bit of a noob when it comes to psu, and I'd like to know your opinions here.

Currently i'm looking at seasonic focus gx-550 gold and corsair cx650m bronze, which in my local shop are about the same price.

Honestly I prefer seasonic, but since I will probably oc, im not sure if 550 w is going to be enough. Guy at the local shop keeps telling me to get the corsair cm650w, but a friend thinks the seasonic focus gx 550w is the way to go.

So assuming I will OC in future, is the Seasonic focus gx 550w gold the wrong choice?

550 W is OK for OC'ing a 4790K and a GTX 1080.

Both brands are very reputable, but I would recommend checking the LTT Forum PSU Tier List to compare them from a scientific perspective.

Although, if all else is equal, I would recommend the 650 one (much better upgrade lifespan).
