Seasonic Focus Plus 650W PSU not giving enough power to GTX 970 STRIX GPU

I have a Seasonic Focus Plus Gold 650W PSU

Care to elaborate? How are you concluding that it's not providing enough power? That GPU has a power requirement of 225W, your PSU should be enough, unless there's something wrong with it.

Since it works with the Raidmax PSU with no crashes but crashes with the Seasonic, the Seasonic must be defective. I would return it.
