Hey guys,

So I've been looking at PSUs for my new build: Ryzen 7 2700X, Gigabyte X370 Gaming K7, 16GB FlareX 3200 CAS14, Radeon RX 580 Nitro+, Samsung 970 Evo 250GB, 2TB Firecuda SSHD, and the Seasonic Focus 850W 80+Gold https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151188&cm_re=Seasonic_Focus-_-17-151-188-_-Product
looks pretty sweet. Reviews look great, I'm asking if anyone has any personal experience with this PSU? Any thing to know? Keep in mind? I'm coming from a Phenom II 940 BE with Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition and 8GB RAM so this'll be a sweet upgrade XD.
Thanks guys!

Solution
Not with the 850w but with the 650w version. Very nice PSU with a small footprint. I'd seen some reviews talk about it being noisy but I never found that to be the case and I tend to be overly uptight with fan noise. The only complaint I had is one that seems to be pretty common, that because of the in cable capacitors the cabling is stiff. It was one of two things that JonnyGuru marked off his review for the series. If you're building in a case with room for cable management, you likely won't really notice it. I was building up a system in a case where the term "shoe horn" could be applied easily so it was a bit more noticeable.

Solution
I didn't see any mention of crossfire, why are you wanting 850w? 550w would be more than enough for your build.

Higher watts (on the same PSU series/platform) would just add noise, price, and increase the damage in the cause of a fault.
