Seasonic G-550 PSU enough for my system?

Corsair H70 (for gpu)
SSD & HDD

(it has 45A on 12v rail)

Yes it's enough.

650W would be ideal , but it's a great power supply and will cover it.

The PSU is extremely high quality, but the GPU with other hardware will really be pushing it to its limits, upgrade recommended. The system has 42A on 12V recommended but the demand is too high for safe and sound long term usage. Have you considered the 150W TDP and more powerful GTX 970?

Fair enough, as said, even though it'd be pushing it, you should be fine for atleast sometime, but do upgrade the PSU as soon as you have the resources

290 max peak usage is like 250-300w and 4670k @ 4.8 is ~160w (so mine is probably liie 140w)

I dont think ill ever get those numbers in regular use. 😀

(I mainly use my PC for gaming & occasional streaming)

Dont have it yet (at the moment chieftec a-80 750W) but the quality of that PSU is like "meh", so thats why i am "upgrading" 😀

And also its 1.5 yrs old.

If you don't have it yet, why not get a better wattage yet high quality PSU (not as high as G series, but still good), like XFX Pro 650W or EVGA 650G.

The quality of XFX Pro is high, higher than many others, look here:

G series is the same tier as Pro, but yes its a bit higher in quality, but XFX is NOT low quality, very reliable too.

I strongly recommend you to get a higherr wattage PSU than extremely high quality one. Don't worry about XFX's quality, its good enough. EVGA 650G is very high quality too.

Ive narrowed my selection down to 2 PSU'S

seasonic m12II-620 ■ 620 bronze
seasonic G-550 ■ 550W Gold

Price difference is ~1$
