Seasonic Platium 860, two versions

I just purchased the 860 xp2 recently and love it.
The main difference I can see with the xp vs. xp2 is the connectors.
I believe the xp2 gives two extra pcie connectors .
Also the case is a few mm smaller looking at those links you provided.
Possibly some other changes, but they are minor enough to probably not notice.
Efficiency/performance should be the same.

Personally, I purchased the xp2 just in case.

Can you tell me where you bought it? Newegg is still selling the old one. I think.

If you look at the Image Gallery for the Seasonic Platinum-860 on Newegg's website the picture shows that the model number is SS-860XP² and the modular cables show that there are six (6+2)-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors which is the newest version.

The specifications, on the other-hand, are for the old SS-860XP that they never bothered to update. This helps Newegg get rid of any remaining old stock because most consumers don't have any idea that the model has been upgraded. I would consider that misrepresentation because the description doesn't match the pictures of the product.

If you receive the old model and complain to Newegg then you will most likely get the newest model sent to you in exchange for the old one.

Is this one the newest version?

Yes, that's the link to the latest revision.

If you order from that link there can be no dispute about the one that you will be sent.

The general Newegg search only returns the first revision that uses pictures for the second revision.

The link I provided is 760W, not 860W. In fact, My build only has one 770, so I doubt I will ever need 860.

Thanks man, I will order a 760 XP2 from new egg, and hopefully that PSU is a good one.

A 760W will be fine for a system using a single GeForce GTX 770.
