Hi! Thanks to everyone on the forum helping me select my PC parts. I am waiting for them to arrive, so I am thinking about how to assemble it and I had a question about the sockets on the PSU and what cables they correspond to. I will be using a Seasonic Focus Plus Gold (https://seasonic.com/focus-plus-gold).

On the PSU, there are 5 sockets labeled "CPU/PCI-E". I know on the motherboard there is a connector for CPU power (8 pins, I believe). The PCI-E and CPU cables have the same interface on the PSU side and different connectors on the motherboard, right? So I could plug the CPU and PCIe cables into any one of those 5 slots as long as I attach it to the right connector on the mobo?

Also, there are 4 "Peripheral-IDE/SATA/Molex" sockets. Can I plug my hard drive SATA power into any one of those as long as I use the right cable? Thanks!
