I'll be setting up a slowish game at seawolf.juneau-lug.org -

128x128 map (maybe bigger if enough people want to play), 1 48 ETU update
per day, stock 4.2.14 code & options.

I don't have a lot of deity experience, and my last big game was
TAMU (fall '91), so I'm not going to change anything drastic. Still
learning new stuff like land units. :)

Let me know if you're interested. As I said, the map could get bigger,
and I might be talked into options.

Cheers,

voor

Well, I'm sure the game needs some fodder, so, I'd be happy to join

I will play in this game.

Is there a reprieve for weekends, or is it 7x7?

What port number?

I'm inclined towards 7x7 - with a 48 ETU update, things shouldn't get
too hairy if you miss one. Is there a lot of interest in a 5x7 game?
I'm flexible on that until the game starts.

Port 8652 should work just fine. I'll put up a test server tomorrow,
set up like the blitzes - country 1-10, pass 1-10, change it if you
want to keep it for a bit, updates twice a day.

Then a reset before the real game starts.

cheers,

Test server is up.

server: seawolf.juneau-lug.org
port: 8652
country: 1 through 10
pass: country number
visitor: visitor/visitor

Test server will be up until 0200 GMT Friday, 14 May. (1800 Alaska, 1900
US Pacific, 2200 US Eastern)

Between now and then I'll be contacting anyone who has expressed interest
via e-mail about country names & passwords.

PLEASE USE THE TEST SERVER. I'm on a cable modem, and of course some of my
neighbors aren't quite up to date on their virus signatures. Every so
often the network drops for a second. 🙁 So please take one of the test
countries & see if you can live with the connection or not.

I'm looking into getting a larger upload pipe that might help.

Cheers,

voor

Five players so far, two of which claim fodder status.

I've sent out country name requests to all of the players - if you haven't
received a country name request, either I didn't figure out your anti-spam
or else I missed you.

e-mail me directly if you want to play & you haven't heard from me.

I'll e-mail out passwords tomorrow, and the game will go live Friday
evening Alaska time.

I'll check my mail.com account right up until Friday afternoon Alaska
time, so you've got a little bit of time to think about it.
