Second Display No Signal

Earlier yesterday I spilled water on my computer (about had a heart attack). Nothing was wrong at first so I just turned off the computer and dried off the inside/outside. I started the computer back up and my second monitor was not detecting a signal. I already tried different ports and I think I've narrowed it down to a possible HDMI port failure because the monitor works fine with a DVI cable, sadly I don't have a second one.

This morning I started up my computer and it just randomly started working again after 15 minutes of being on. I went to work, and now I'm back and here it is, not working again. So at this point I'm a bit at a loss for words and need little bit of help.

I was thinking to go buy another DVI cable tomorrow if this happened to be the issue. But I wanted to check here first to see if I could figure it out without buying anything. Thanks for any and all help!

Trying using the cable from your 1st display on the second one to see if that fixes the problem. If it works, then you know the hdmi cable is bad, if it doens't then the port might indeed be damaged.

Yea, it does work, I've tried it. It isn't the cable, and it isn't the monitor. so it must be the port on the GPU.

Yeah, that is unfortunate. Still you're rather lucky that your GPU works at all for that matter
