second drive , cant get it to work

i recently added a new power supply and video card , gatway dx-4860 , everything works with the exception on second drive , in past i did have drive d , using sata . now i have only molex . i tried molex to sata ,and can not get drive to show . i tested output voltage from molex yes 5v and 11.86 just under 12v from yellow to black .connected to mobo and can not see drive ,drive is 2t western digital .so i am puzzled . is this slight under voltage issue .should read 12v but so slightly under . or am i over looking something .

Does it show up in the bios? What abiut Disk Management

not on disk management , like i said before making changes it would and i had back up to drive d which was second drive . now drive d shows up as my cd/dvd .will check bios , i did order a new molex to sata connector which has two sata from singel molex . test molex pins and i do get 5 v and 11.86 v . i am scrtching my head . never had this issue .

not on bio,s or disk manager , i took out hd , put it on external on another pc and does not show up . i don't see or feel any indication of life .tested other hd on external working except my seagate 2t .any solution . now i am wondering how this happened so i don't damage any other drives .

Very weird. Might as well back up your data. You could get like a 3.5 HDD to USB converter and test it

yes , i do have external and yes i did put it on and ,and not working . did test ,with my 1 t and my ssd they show up and work . just this 2 t drive ,, history is i got a power supply that i added and did not work , i returned power supply got old one from old pc which is on unit and working , so perhaps old supply that i returned could have burnt it out .
present supply has molex which i will need to use molex to sata ,all is working with exception on this drive which few days ago was . thanks

ok , my project worked , project raid , i incorporated two drives into my dx-4860 pc which is a gateway stock pc . so i know have raid o .which i combined two hd of 1t to have 2 which is now my back up drive .i am using raid card rocket raid 2640x4 i set it up . it needs a pci 4 slot which i did not have . i got a expansion slot pci1 to pci16 put card in drilled hole to set it connected it .and wow i now have raid . only problem i had was the seagate 2t hd still not working . cant find solution . from what i learned and research do not by seagate all i have to offer from this experience .
if anyone wants to set up raid on stock pc .with out buying a new mobo and go threw that head ach and cost hit me up .
