Second Drive not Working?

My second hard drive wasn't working so i went to do syschk but my computer crashed and now, every time i start my computer, it says preparing automatic repair and go to a black screen, or just not boot. I tried removing that drive and windows works perfectly. I don't have any important files on that drive but i just need to fix it.
Specs:
Cpu: i7 6700k
Gpu: GTX 1070
MotherBoard: MSI Z170 Gaming Pro

I would suggest plugging it into a USB device , I suspect the "defects" on your hard drove might be causing windows to bomb out, which in a usb format access would likely not cause your system to bomb out permit you to proceed with possible repair.

But how would i do this, my internal hard drive used sata?

Hi there EpicPear,

You will need a SATA to USB adapter + power cord if the drive is a 3.5'' one. If the drive is a 2.5'', you will just need a SATA to USB adapter. (the USB connection would power up the drive)

Once your system boots, plug in the drive externally and see if you will manage to access the data. If you can't do that, you can use some data recovery tools.
