I recently bought a second EVGA GTX 760 sc acx to add to my pc. My motherboard is an MSI Z97 gaming 5 motherboard. I have an i7 4790k cpu. For reason, my computer won't detect the second graphics card. I have an 850watt PSU from seasonic so that is not the problem. Could someone help? It is not detected in windows, or gpu-z. Is there a setting in my BIOS that disables the other slots? If so could someone tell me where it is? Thanks!

The second card is installed in the PCIex16 slot right below the first one. My psu is modular, so I will try plugging the cable into a different pcie cable port on the psu. I have an sli bridge installed.

Try swapping positions with the cards. Sometimes simply reseating them does the trick. Other times one card apparently thinks it has to be the Alpha male.

Make sure ALL power headers on both cards have the appropriate cabling attached.

Make sure the cabling into the modular PSU are FULLY inserted and locked in place.

You might also need to fully uninstall the drivers using display driver uninstaller (Use the DDU to uninstall. Uninstalling from Programs and features doesn't always remove relevant registry entries) and reinstall the drivers WITH both cards installed.

How did you do that manually? Can you describe a bit detailed please, since i am having troubles as well, thanks :)

darkbreeze, if you got time on your hands, would you be willing to help guide me on the right path with my existing issue, which is slightly the same as above?
I have asked the community, but havent got any responses yet :/
