So, I decided to try out this whole SLI business because I wanted more performance for gaming at 2560x1440. I currently have a galaxy gtx 680 reference model. I bought a used evga reference model. The problem is, this evga seems to cause the video driver to crash after exiting any game.

I did a clean install of the drivers and tried out the evga by itself in both my pcie x16 slots with the same results. I then did a clean install of the drivers and tried out my galaxy in both pcie x16 slots and that worked just fine. It appears to work fine while in the game, though admittedly the maximum time I've spent within a game with both on in sli is around 15 minutes.

I've tried several games. Batman Arkham Origins, ACIV, Bioshock Infinite, and Borderlands 2. All produce the same results. I really want to get some extra performance at this resolution without spending a ton of money, which is why I went with trying SLI out. It sucks that it's practically impossible to find new 680s at fair prices. Is this just a faulty video card? Just curious at what else could cause this problem.

My motherboard is an Asus p7p55d-e pro and I have a cooler master silent pro gold 800W psu. Both claim to be sli certified.
