Second Hard disk freezes when writing

I have two hard disk one my old 160gb WD HDD for my os and 2 TB WD HDD for storage purpose. Recently i swapped my 2TB WD HDD under warranty as there was drive clicks. After receiving a new one, i started storing my files into it. But now my 2 TB HDD freezes every time i try to copy or write into it. Sometimes there is also case of black screen during boot. I have a 4gb DDR3 RAM, Gigabyte H61MDS2 motherboard, Corsair 550 watts PSU. I want to know if its the problem with HDD or other hardware device not supporting it. My 160gb HDD works fine. I can read from my 2TB HDD but cannot write into it.

Check the event viewer system logs. If not the HD could be bad port or cable.
