So I got this problem since today. My Second Drive, which is the one without the OS installed, is constantly at 100% active time while having 0 KB/s and 0KB/s. Sometimes my PC and BIOS don't even see the drive. I had the problem that my PC nor BIOS don't see the drive before, but never the 100% active time. When I try to go into the drive, via clicking on it in "This PC" my PC completely blocks. Booting software from the Drive is a no go, it either blocks or doesn't boot at all. The drive is a 1TB, 7200RPM drive. The first drive, with the OS on, is a Samsung 840 pro 256GB SSD. When disconnecting the HDD, and only using the SSD, all works fine. But that isn't rly an option as I have important files, programes and games on that drive.

Do you have any suggestions for a program that can check that?

Your drive is likely failing.
The drive manufacturer will have drive diagnostics that you can download and run.
If it is a wd drive the utility is called data lifeguard.

If your data is crucial, there are hard drive data recovery specialists that can likely recover your data. It will be expensive.

In the future, it would be best to backup any valuable files to some sort of external destination or device.

This is the date from HD Tune Pro 5.50. When I tried to do a read test with it it just said "read error"

That means mostly its about to fail and backup the data as fast as possible. Check out its health in the same software and also check the smart status and if it fails there return it to the manufacturer if its under warranty or get a new one.

Aight so. Weird stuff happening here. I had to restart my PC because is blocked(again) when it was booted again, my HDD wasn't found. So I restarted it again(as this usually fixes it). And so it did again, windows and my BIOS saw the HDD. Weird thing now, everything works like a gem now... HDD active time is back to 0% and only goes up when it has to work. I rebooted my PC several times today but never got the issue resolved, until now for some reason. Thanks for all the help guys, I will still buy a new HDD cuz I don't trust this one anymore.
