When I play games off of my 2nd NVME drive the game will crash randomly and the drive will disconnect. When relaunching game will not launch. I will do a system restart and the drive of the game will disconnect so files will not be found. This is all through steam but every file on that drive are not found. In order to make it work the last time I switch my 2nd NVME to the third slot worked for a month and having the same issues. Is the NVME bad or is there a BIOs or system setting I can change to fix? Both NVMEs have thermal pads so I don't think overheating is the issue. CPU is running at 32 degrees Celsius.

I'm running:
CPU: i9-13900k (not overclocked)
MOBO: MSI MPG z690 force WIFI
Primary M,2: Samsung 980 EVO pro 2gb
2nd M.2: Samsung 970 EVO pro 2gb
GPU: Geforce 3080 RTX founders
RAM: 4x 16gb Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR5 6400mhz
PSU: not sure I think 850 gold Seagate

Look in Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer for error codes, warnings, or even information events just before or at the time of the crash/disconnects.

Start with Reliability History/Monitor. Much more end user friendly and the timeline format may reveal patterns.

Event Viewer requires more time and effort to navigate and understand.

Take a closer look at the PSU to confirm make and model. How old is the PSU? History of heavy use for gaming and/or video editing? Maybe even bitmining?
