Second monitor causing my CPU to lag?

Hey!

I bought yesterday a new monitor (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824014376) I have now 2x 1920x1080 monitors.

Now I played some CS:GO & LoL and noticed while speedfan was running on second monitor that my CPU usage is over 50% ? What is causing this? In CS:GO it made the game lagg some. Also tried streaming LoL and the fps dropped like hell I couldn't play the game. Is having two monitors really too hard for my comp? Before I had the second one I could easily stream 1080p@60fps with no lagging.

I have i7-4790 and GTX 770 OC so it shoud be able to run two monitors.
Here is my old monitor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009163

Hi, This is normal behavior. You are going to see a noticeable hit in performance using dual or multiple monitors on a single card unless it's a very high end card and even then you'd have a single card like a GTX 690 or HD 7990 with dual Gpu's. The 770 in sli would be a good solution even with a third monitor but even then you probably wouldn't be able to max every game out. I have a GTX 690 and I can't max out BF3, BF4 or Crysis 3 on three monitor @ 5760x1080.

Your cpu has nothing to do with this problem. The Source engine in Counter Strike is not that demanding. That is why you don't see a whole lot of cpu usage. It's not a cpu intensive game. The GTX 770 is having a harder time rendering 3840x1080 than it did rendering a 1920x1080. It's that simple but by all means keep looking for a better solution.

As I already said, the problem was CPU throttling. Fps didn't drop at all, the game was choppy and had some lag spikes. When I tried to stream my comp lagged like hell. After I unparked cores it started working perfectly.
