Second Monitor Display

So I got a new monitor today, it is a Acer GN246HL and I am now using that as my main monitor plugged into my main graphics card. I have two cards, both 7770s. When I plug in my second monitor into my second card, DVI-D port it won't display or even be detected. Do I need to have both monitors plugged into the same card or is there anyway to have two monitors plugged into two different cards? If you need anything else, please ask and Merry Christmas!
