Second monitor is blue tinted and blurry

I am at my wits end here 🙁

At my workstation I have 2 computers and 2 monitors. I use a switch for the keyboard and mouse, but the monitors are each directly connected to the computers and I use the button on the monitors to switch the inputs from computer to computer.

Monitors are Samsumg SyncMaster P2770. One computer has an AMD, the other a Nvidia.

Starting yesterday morning, the second monitor is acting strange. It has a bluish tint to it, it's blurry/fuzzy and the screen seems to big (as in, I can only see the very top of my taskbar, just enough to click things).

This is only happening on 1 of the computers, the Nvidia one. The other one is just fine.

I have changed cables, changed power strips and even changed monitors (my husband has the exact same monitor so I switched for his) and it still happens. So it would see that has ruled out all of those.

The thing is... sometimes if I play around with the HDMI cable (like wiggle it or remove it and put it back in), it will work. It's about a 50/50 chance. But once I get it working, if I do anything like change it over to the second computer then back again, or turn it off and back on, it breaks again.

What in the world could be going on?

Two other things I tried.... I did a system restore to about 2 weeks ago and I also updated the Nvidia drivers. Neither helped.

Forgot to mention... I have messed around with the settings on both the monitor itself and the display settings in Windows.

ETA - I was rereading my post and realized it might be confusing. Let me try to clarify a few things.

Primary computer has an AMD Radeon HD 7900. This computer is working flawlessly.

Secondary computer has a Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 Ti. This is the one with the problems.

My main monitor is working great on both computers.

My second monitor is not working right on my secondary computer.

I have tried changing the HDMI cable, the power cable and even the monitor itself, it always happens. Which leads me to believe it is not a problem with the monitor itself.

I have tried a different cable and that didn't help.

If it matters, the monitor is going into that computer with HDMI out and DVI in. At first I was using an HDMI to DVI connector, now I am using a cable that has HDMI out and DVI in (so no converter). Problem is the same with each.

Could it be the graphics card, or the port on the graphics card, maybe?

I would say the port then.

Poo 🙁

Can just the port be fixed or do I have to replace the video card?

I can also try using the HDMI mini port, I just have to find a HDMI to HDMI mini cable around here somewhere....

And you have gone directly from the Video Card into the monitor to rule out anything in between? If it is indeed the port on the Video Card itself, then it "can" be fixed by an electronics repair shop. But I think you'll find it cheaper to get a new card.

I don't really know what you mean "go directly from the Video Card into the monitor"? It is...

I just tried to connect it with HDMI to HDMI Mini and got the same result. So I guess it's not the cable or the connection port.

I am so confused 🙁

Oh my goodness, I can't believe this.

Now it is happening on the OTHER monitor, on the OTHER computer!

So now it's 2 different monitors and 2 different computers. But it's only Computer 2 with Monitor 1, and Computer 1 with Monitor 2.

How can each of them have the same problem, but opposite configurations?
