Question Second monitor keeps going black

Hi, in my setup I have 2 displays, connected to a ROG STRIX Vega 64.
My second monitor just turns black for one second, then comes back to normal, then after about 30 seconds it does the same thing.
Sometimes it doesnt happen for about 30 minutes, sometimes it happens every 5 seconds.
Main monitor is connected via HDMI cable, second one is connected via VGA to HDMI adapter, which is connected to a VGA going into the second monitor.
Second monitor is 10-ish years old, and only has a VGA connection on it.
I run both monitors on 1920x1080, even though the second one has 1366x768 as the recommended resolution.
I am suspecting the adapter, since when I had my older GPU, R9 380, which had a DVI adapter, there were no issues whatsoever.
Btw it turned black about 20 times while typing this xD.

What happens when you run the secondary panel at 1366x768 resolution?

You could rule out the adapter as your root cause of the issue by replacing it with another adapter or a standalone HDMI male to VGA male cable.

I swapped out the VGA to HDMI adapter, to my old VGA to DVI-I adapter, and so far everything works normal.
Perhaps VGA to HDMI was too much for my old monitor to handle xD
