I just got this new pc, and I wanted to hook up my Second old monitor to the VGA slot on the I/O shield as my Main monitor is connected to my graphics card via HDMI. But for some reason it cant even detect it and i'm not sure if its fully plugged in. I didn't wanna force the cable inside the VGA slot so I just went as far as I thought would be safe. Any tips / help would be great.

there is only one way to connect VGA, a simple way to make sure its properly plugged in is to screw the side screws all the way in. what ports does your card have?

you can only use the VGA slot from the I/O shield as an extended display.

You have to enable integrated graphics in the UEFI in order to use the display ports on the mother board when a GPU is connected, if there is no GPU then the PC will enable integrated graphics (assuming you have integrated graphics) automatically.
