Question Second monitor not receiving signal from gpu

Hi I just installed a new motherboard, cpu, and then recently replaced my gpu. I ran a dual monitor setup with a dell s2716dg as my main and a dell se2717h as my second monitor.

After i installed my new motherboard (Tuf z790 plus wifi) and cpu (i7-14700k) my second monitor is stopped receiving a signal. At the time i had a gtx 1080 gpu.

Now i did some testing. The cable works with other monitors, the hdmi out from the gpu works, and then i tried using an adapter from hdmi to dp so i used the hdmi from the monitor to the dp of the gpu and that worked. Although the resolution is all messed up. And i don’t want a remedy, i want a fix to the problem.

So from what i’m understanding is my gpu/computer is not recognizing this monitor specifically when plugged into the hdmi port. Can anyone help me, has anyone seen this before with this monitor? I looked up threads on the same monitor, people had similar issues but dells but advice was essentially power it off and on again.

Full setup currently is the aforementioned cpu, motherboard, now with a 4080 super

Thanks!

Did you reinstall your OS? You should still be able to get both monitors to run off the motherboard's display output ports courtesy of your iGPU.

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

Since you mentioned changing parts, we will be seeing two sets of specs, one for before and one for after.
