I am trying to connect a second monitor but windows isn't detecting it when I connect it to my graphics card and enable PEG in bios but it works when I connect it to my motherboard and use IGD multi display in my bios.

I am using a msi h110m pro vd motherboard and a gtx 1050ti.

Solution
After resetting the BIOS to the defaults, just connect the monitor cables to the graphics card. Then in Windows Display identify the two monitors. Then select the primary monitor (choose the one with the highest resolution and refresh rate). Then under Multiple Monitors select "Duplicate These Displays".

After that you can set the correct resolutions and refresh rates of the both monitors.

Without multi-monitor enabled, when a graphics card is installed the integrated graphics is disabled (and the motherboard video outputs are disabled).

I would start by resetting the BIOS to the defaults. Then connect both monitors to the graphics card. Depending upon the monitors you may need to use an adapter to connect both monitors.

Hasn't worked. Would maybe reseting my pc to factory settings fix this?

Solution
If the monitors do not have a display when the monitors are connected to the graphics card, change out the monitor cables. Troubleshoot the monitors using the monitor manual.

Troubleshoot the graphics card. Is the power supply of sufficient watts to power the GPU? Is any needed PCIE power cable connected to the graphics card?
