Second Monitor Only Works On 1st

I have just got a 2 monitor setup, they both work, but whenever i use the "Extend" feature on windows, it extends it to my 2nd monitor, which is fine, but it doesnt show any of my desktop icons, any of my toolbar on my bottom right (the date, time, network etc), it shows what programs are open and what ones ive pinned to the taskbar. But when i try to open something, E.G. Google chrome, it will only load it up on my primary monitor and not my second one, i want them to be seperate monitors. I want to be able to watch a youtube video on one monitor and play a game on another one for example. Please Help.

Nothing wrong with what is happening. You need to drag any programs you want on the second monitor over to that screen. Click and drag the top bar of the program.
