Hello I want to swap my old monitor out for this one:
http://www.webhallen..._sankbar-g-sync
I know it is AOC and not asus or another very high tier brand. Me too was concerned about this until I saw this thread were it finished as best:
http://www.tomshardw...itors,3917.html
So I think it look fairly good and there is no other g-sync monitor at this price point.
So my real question is that I want to buy a second monitor, I will not really use it for gaming. I will for example maybe manage my music on this one or go on a wiki while I game on the other one. Also I do a little of level design, were there never really can be too much screen space. The second monitor should be nothing fancy, no g-sync or other expensive features.
Does anybody have some recommendations?
My price range is around 130 euro, I would maybe stretch it to 150 if something would be really impressive. The size should be 24 inch.
Thanks in advance.

My Specs:
Amd fx 8350
With a noctua nh-d14
Msi gtx 970 overclocked a little
16 gb ddr3 ram
Asus m5a97 r2.0
4 case fans
Samsung 250gb ssd
2 terabyte hdd
Be quiet 600w 80 silver plus
Bitfenix Shinobi

Here are the monitors I would recommened
$450: 27", IPS, 2560x1440...
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-monitor-pb278q

$130: 22", IPS, 1920x1080...
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/aoc-monitor-i2267fw

$160: 24", TN, 1920x1080, 2ms response time (less ghosting than above IPS but possibly not as good viewing angles)
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-monitor-vs247hp

$450: 24", TN, 1920x1080, 144Hz with GSYNC!
*Not recommended due to price. GSYNC is amazing but personally I'd hold off for prices to drop. Another year and perhaps 2560x1440 will be $500 with GSYNC and 120Hz IPS?

$800: 27", 2560x1440... (Asus ROG Swift): http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-monitor-90lm00u0b0137...

$270: 24", 1920x1080, TN, 144Hz, 2ms...

I am running a similar setup in my PC and I have overclocked to achieve 130FPS in BF4 on ultra settings so I think that you should possibly take your current main monitor and purchase a new main once due to the fact of you having a solid computer setup.

I would highly suggest a ultra wide 21:9 monitor because they are really nice to use and you can use them as 2 monitors at once due to the fact that most ultra wide 21:9 monitors have dual monitor mode.

My second suggestion would be a BenQ monitor, they are nice solid monitors but other that that I would go with a Asus or LG monitor for quality and the bang for your buck

Ok thanks for answering, but One problem of ultra wide monitors is that they mostly do not have so great response and refresh rates. So I found this:

What do you think of it?

Ok many many thanks, but one more thing, you say g-sync is to expensive. But the one I showed you is "only" a little under 400 dollar. Isn't that an ok price for g-sync?

G-Sync isn't to expensive just it's a costly feature at times and can make the difference between perfection and non perfection. I recommend G-Sync, so if you have the money go for it! But all the monitors I listed are superb for almost any price range/budget.
