My current setup 1 monitor
GPU gtx 1060
CPU i5 6600k
ASUS VG248QE MONITOR
MOBO ASUS z170-p

i would like to get another monitor for mostly just browsing internet watching netflix nothing to GPU intense.
I don't really plan to spend much on another monitor, and also i wanted to know is it worth running another on the GPU or can i perhaps just use my motherboards GPU so it doesn't bother using my graphics card??

Also any ideas on ideal second monitors for this? im not bothered much about having matching ( hence the fact i dont want to spend much)
But i wanted to understand any pros and cons to running both on GPU or 1 on each

Performance is unaffected either way. There's not many pros/cons. Either is acceptable.

Using 1 gpu is simpler since you only need to worry about updating 1 gpu driver. Power/heat is sometimes brought up but it's negligible. You are likely to not even see a degree of difference.

Using both gpus: you don't need to buy an adapter if the monitor and gpu don't have one that isn't already being used. It is sometimes used as a solution to different hz monitors not begin able to be set correctly although this issue is uncommon.

As for monitors, 1080p is cheap nowadays and can be found for less than 100. You could try ips but the cheap ones aren't much different than tn and come with the infamous ips glow. It doesn't matter much if it's...

It doesn't matter much if it's just for those uses and your main is that monitor. You may get a better va monitor but then you may want to upgrade the asus to something better looking.
