second monitor wont show native resolution

im using a samgung 73" screen as a second screen and my computer refuses to desplay the resolution at 1920x1080 and downsizez the resolution to 1600x900. ive tried everything including updating all the drivers on my computer. i know it can be used at that resolution because it displayed as the right resolution when i first started using it.

Re-install the monitor drivers from the CD you got when you bought the monitor.

Does it do the same thing when you connect it as a primary screen?
