I wanted to move my modem/router (C1000z) to my room so I can hook my PS4 up using Ethernet cable. Problem is there's a Direct Tv thing hooked to it via Ethernet then it's also hooked to a CATV jack which is the main one of the house. So it won't worked with any other CATV jack in the house. Could I hook like a second router to the modem through phone line or DSL they call it on the modem/router. Cause I have to have the Direct Tv thing hooked up.

Use one of these and you won't need to move anything: https://www.amazon.com/Actiontec-PWR511K01-HomePlug-Powerline-Network/dp/B00871SR68/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1475170083&sr=8-3&keywords=actiontec
I have this exact one and it works great. You plug one of the boxes into an electrical outlet near the modem, then plug a LAN cable from it into one of the modem/router LAN ports. Plug the other box into an electrical outlet near your PS4 and plug the PS4 into one of it's LAN ports using a LAN cable. PS4 will have wired speed and reliability without a second router and without running LAN cables through the house.
