Hello everybody,

My name is Hazem and I have been a "lurker" around this site for a while now. I always figured if you don't have something intelligent to say, don't say anything at all :). I just joined and I really do appreciate the advice/knowledge this community has.

I have been around computers for a VERY long time, but I haven't built/upgraded one in about six years. My last "build" was a mess to say the least. I had used an OEM Compaq computer and just started upgrading pieces on it. After that I had laptops due to mobility. Recently, I was in the market for a new laptop(Asus G75vw) that can play pretty much anything on ultra and still have well over 30 fps. Since the laptop would be mostly stationary I decided to build a desktop.

I want this thing to make games, for lack of better words, its bitch. I do little video/photo editing and some graphic designs. I do also run video recordings for LOL games and WOW. In the future I do want to be able to SLI two of the GTX 670's, but for now I just need one. Once it becomes cheaper I most likely will end up doing so.

I want to make sure everything is compatible and I can get the most out of this PC. I kindly thank you for any advice. Also, should I buy warranty on anything (i.e. graphics cards. processor, motherboard)?

Approximate Purchase Date: Next two months or so.

Budget Range: $1500-$2000, I am not worried to much about shipping

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, little graphic design, little video editing,

Are you buying a monitor: No, already have one. It is listed below and is fairly new.

Parts to Upgrade: None since it is a new build

Do you need to buy OS: Yes, Windows 7 Home premium 64bit.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg.com or Microcenter. Mix and match is fine.

Location: Fairfax, Va

Parts Preferences: None really, I just prefer reliability.

Overclocking: Yes!!!!!(one of the reasons why I want another build)

SLI or Crossfire: Yes in the future.

Your Monitor Resolution: I believe my monitor only supports up to 1920x1080. I have linked the monitor.

Additional Comments: I like classy/simplistic. I really don't need the bells/whistles/lights/neon's...etc. I figure the fans will be a bit loud but I don't want them to sound like a jet taking off.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Refer to introduction at the top. :)

Closed liquid loops offer nothing that a strong air fan would provide - and the air fan is a lot safer. The H100 is like a plastic toy compared to what a real liquid radiator will get you.

Yes that PSU will handle two 670's very easily. Alternately I'd suggest this PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139021&Tpk=corsair%20tx750

You're literally throwing money away purchasing aftermarket warranties. The manufacturers have their own and by law they have to honor them. You'll usually get far better service from the component manufacturers themselves than with a store bought warranty.
