I recently installed a new SSD and put Windows 7 on it, and I had a previous HDD with Windows 7 on it. Both drives show up under "my computer" but there's no way I can boot into the old HDD Windows. msconfig only shows the new Windows installation on the SSD.

I used the same Windows disc and key that was used on the old HDD. I installed the SSD to the SATA port that the old HDD was connected to, so maybe my motherboard can't find the location of the old Windows because it's finding the new Windows instead?

I'm also using AHCI mode if that helps.

I'll try that out Chicano

1. If you installed the OS with only the SSD connected, that OS will not know anything about an OS living on another drive.
msconfig has no idea.

2. Why two installs of the same OS and license? If you continue to try to use both, one or both will become unactivated before long.
