Secondary Drive is not found

maybe its something simple but I cannot seem to find the solution.

I will go to file explorer and my secondary drive which is labelled as my D drive is not showing up.

so i cannot access it. my c drive is fine, this doesn't happen all the time but from time to time.

I have checked diskmgmt.msc and it also is not showing up there or in device manager only my C drive.

normally after a reboot, it will be fine. this is not a new drive, as I have had it for a few years now.


does anyone know a fix for this?

Can you provide us with a total specs sheet?

did you try using diskpart in the command line and see if it shows up there? Just run CMD as an administrator and type it diskpart, and then when diskpart shows up, type in list disk and see what it shows.

DavisBLv, from your description, looks like the drive is on its last legs .If you can backup the information ASAP.
